More TVTV lighting.

We began work on the TVTV Halloween Special this past weekend.

This is a one-hour broadcast TV special, instead of the normal webisodes we've been putting up. It's going to take us most of the summer to shoot it.

As usual, I'm doing the lighting, and for me, that's the fun part.

I mentioned below that one of the cool things about TVTV is that there's no real-world correspondence, so we get to make it up and it only needs to be consistent with itself.

Here's a few photos, and some explanation:

This is the set, wonderfully textured, seen with worklights only.

Not bad - the guys did a seriously good construction job.

And here:

...is the set with some lighting applied. We were going for a night look, and as in the earlier post, the photo's lighter than the recorded image that you'll see in the show.

Here's one more, showing Charles getting the vampire Count LeShoc ready for a shot:

If you're in the Twin Cities area, look for the show this fall.

It's going to be good...

  1. Awesome! I recommend TVTV to everyone - whether you watch on regular TV or the web episodes. It's simply fabulous.

Worth every moment. Congratulations, Alan and team!
